About the job Hygienist Job in Port Clinton, OH Dental Hygienist Port Clinton, OH Full Time - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Compensation: $37-$40 per hour or 30% of net production whichever is higher. Job Responsibilities: Examine patient oral health and requirements through screening processes, including medical history review, dental charting, and periodontal charting Provide direct patient care following standard dental hygiene procedures Measure and document patient vital signs Carry out routine treatments like scaling and polishing Obtain necessary diagnostic x-rays as directed by the dentist for treatment planning Administer sealants and fluoride treatments Maintain electronic patient documentation Log dental history and primary complaint Record and convey important clinical observations Educate patients on avoiding tooth decay and gum disease via nutrition and effective home oral care Clean and sterilize instruments Prepare treatment plan as outlined by the dentist Discuss treatment plan and related fees with the patient Clearly express patient concerns to the dentist Serve as primary treatment coordinator Perform additional duties as needed Qualifications: Must be dependable Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene certificate or associate degree program with active hygienist license Capable of independent thinking and sound judgment Able to formulate, influence, interpret, and/or apply operational procedures Demonstrates a team-oriented approach to responsibilities Shows initiative, reliability, and punctuality Handles frequent repetitive tasks with close attention to detail Adapts flexibly to different assignments with a positive attitude Follows instructions and takes accountability for own performance Maintains strict confidentiality with patients and their care Understands safety rules, procedure manuals, and written communication Interprets instructions in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance To apply for this excellent position, email your resume to or text Cyn at 407-625-6349 for a faster response.
