Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Mother/Baby Care Unit, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Oversee patient care activities to ensure compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care for mothers and newborns. Manage day-to-day operations of the Mother/Baby Care Unit, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards related to maternal and newborn care services. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including obstetricians, pediatricians, and lactation consultants, to optimize care for mothers and their infants. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in maternal and newborn care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required. Certification in Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN) or equivalent is preferred. Why work with us?
