Supplier Quality Engineer I Hybrid: Greer, SCAbout the Job Duration: Long term Contract (possibility of extension) Location: - Hybrid: Greer, SC Pay rate: Hourly, depending on experience Job ID: 5298 Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include Collaborates in launch projects after handover to Supplier Quality Assurance, ensuring compliance with specifications. Communicates with other plants in the worldwide network including joint problem solving. Assists Module Quality Engineer(s) in advanced quality planning activities such as risk assessment and product/process development. Supports execution of the process series before SOP (Start of Production) with suppliers worldwide. Reviews ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) releases for assigned products. Reviews new and challenging suppliers' quality and production systems. Reviews monthly supplier rating. Supports product and process audits due to occurred errors and supplier rating results and initiates counteractions and verification. Participates in quality problem solving process for supplier related issues. Reviews quality management systems at supplier locations. Supports startup capability for new parts and processes. Reviews part approval process for assigned suppliers. Reviews reduction of supplier related warranty claims via Defect Eradication Process. Performs other duties as assigned by operations supervisor. Qualifications: 2+ years knowledge of advanced quality planning techniques including PFMEA, control planning, process flow diagramming, process auditing techniques, and PPAP. 2+ years knowledge of advanced statistical techniques such as capability and standard deviation studies to calculate process variation. 2+ years Microsoft Office skills. Basic German language skills (written and verbal) preferred. Experience Levels: Basic: Less than 1 year experience/training Intermediate: 1 to 3 years experience Advanced: 3 to 5 years experience Expert: 5+ years experience. Educational requirements BS degree in Engineering or related field OR equivalent of 4 years professional supplier quality process/components experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. Experience 2+ years of professional experience in related part technology and/or processing. Training Quality Computer Systems including QSYS, SPQM, and SAP. Licenses / Certifications Certified Quality Management (CQM) and Certified Quality Engineering (CQE) preferred.
