The department works together to ensure the needs of our patients, visitors and staff are met in a timely courteous manner. This includes working closely with clinical teams to provide medical supplies as needed in a timely manner. They also provide supplies to offsite HHC facilities in the surroundings area. The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational activities of Supply Chain distribution for Hartford Hospital. The areas of responsibility include staff supervision, shipping, receiving, inventory management, management, and mailroom/courier services. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following:Direct supervision of up to 25 regional supply chain staff. Provides feedback on individual performance expectations; mentors, and develops employeesRespond to customer needs, resolving conflicts, and educating employees on customer service. Effectively and continually communicates with the staff, management, and customers to facilitate the flow of informationManage storeroom inventories and oversee Pyxis clinical area inventory.Monitor the quality, cost, and quantity of product to meet business and customer needs. Education: · Associates Degree preferredExperience:· 3 years’ experience in supply and inventory management related position, preferably in acute health care environment · Experience managing point of use inventory management systems · Ability to interact and problem solve with clinical staff on Supply Chain related issues · Prior experience in utilizing and maintaining accuracy of computer supply and inventory management systems Experience with PeopleSoft strongly preferred We take great care of careers.
