JOB SUMMARYResponsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing a therapy program to meet the needs of speech, language, and hearing-impaired students, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations.This position is for 11.25 hours per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:45 am - 2:30 pm - all responsibilities, including documentation, should be able to completed during those hours.There is a possibility of increasing hours per week depending on caseload. Schedule and provide speech-language screenings (including vision and hearing screenings), evaluations, Exceptional Student Education staffings, and therapy sessions. Oversee and coordinate ESE speech-language services, including the evaluation and staffing processes.Schedule and conduct all ESE meetings, including reevaluations and annual IEP meetings.Participate in problem-solving and Child Find meetings, as needed.Maintain all documentation and compliance in accordance with all federal, state and local guidelines.Provide speech interventions, as appropriate. All other duties, as assigned.Provide own computer/therapy materials. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE Master's degree program at an accredited institution in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, or related field CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS Valid and current Florida certification in field or hold appropriate state license for position, OR Florida Teacher's Certification in Speech-Language Pathology Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
