Job Description

Director, Revenue Analytics As the Director, Revenue Analytics for The Inquirer, you will drive strategic insights and data-informed decisions across the Consumer Marketing department. Leveraging your analytical expertise, you'll help Marketing stakeholders to optimize campaign performance, improve customer acquisition and retention, and make decisions that maximize ROI. You will be responsible for developing and implementing models, tools, and dashboards that illuminate trends, identify opportunities, and track KPIs, contributing to our mission to grow our audience and drive revenue. This role reports to SVP, Revenue Planning & Analysis, and will manage two marketing analytics team members. What You'll Do Analytical Leadership: Provide actionable insights through advanced statistical and predictive modeling, working with data from campaigns, subscriptions, newsletters, social media, search, digital analytics, and customer behavior. Provides expert consulting to create recommendations that incorporate an understanding of both Marketing goals and the analytics skills, tools, data and processes to achieve them. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing and Product teams to understand key challenges and define metrics for success across campaigns. Collaborate with Data & Insights to build standard reports, refine query logic, and model new metrics from source data. Partner with Finance and Revenue teams as needed. Performance Measurement: Establish frameworks for campaign performance measurement and develop automated reporting systems to track KPIs, including customer acquisition, retention, and engagement. Experimentation Strategy: Design and manage A/B and multivariate tests to optimize marketing strategies; provide insights into audience segmentation and lifecycle management. Modeling & Forecasting: Build and refine predictive models to forecast trends, recommend strategies for acquisition and retention, and support budgeting efforts. Data Governance: Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams on data architecture to support robust analysis and reporting. Work with vendors to accept and acknowledge our readers' privacy preferences and consents. Mentorship & Development: Manage a team of two analysts to provide excellent support to the marketing department, and ensure individual skill development. You will contribute to an inclusive and positive work environment Who We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, preferably within media or a digital marketing-focused organization Expertise in statistical analysis and modeling tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization software (e.g. Looker / Data Studio, Tableau, etc.) Proven experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) and CRM tools Strong communication skills and ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring analysts About Us.
