Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and support to the MICU nursing team, including staffing, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Oversee the safe, efficient, and compassionate delivery of care to critically ill patients with diverse medical conditions. Manage unit operations, ensuring optimal resource utilization, equipment functionality, and compliance with safety standards. Promote continuous quality improvement initiatives within the MICU, aiming to elevate patient outcomes and clinical performance. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, state and federal regulations, and accrediting body standards specific to intensive care. Candidate requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a related field preferred. Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing experience, with at least 3 years in critical care and 2 years in a leadership role. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
