Pharmacy Technician

Position Summary The Pharmacy Floor Technician is responsible for preparing prescriptions for final verification by a licensed pharmacist. This role supports daily pharmacy operations through accurate medication picking, labeling, scanning, and packaging in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently fill daily medication orders under pharmacist supervision Pick/pull medications from shelves, prepack racks, and other storage areas Label blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy Alert the pharmacist of any medication or product that does not scan correctly Assist with processing returned medications and recycle or dispose of them per established procedures Prepack frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods; label and store appropriately Manually package medications and materials as needed Maintain clean and organized workstations and replenish required supplies Follow all applicable federal, state, and company regulations, including HIPAA compliance Comply with departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Required) High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work at a moderate production pace Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Possess and maintain a clear, active Ohio Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy Preferred Qualifications Prior pharmacy technician experience in a retail, long-term care, or mail-order pharmacy environment
