Job Full Description Job Title: HVAC Service Technician Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time Location: West Columbia, SC 29170 Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, safety-conscious, and experienced in diagnosing HVAC system issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems - Perform routine preventive maintenance and system inspections - Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues - Install new HVAC equipment and components as needed - Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and manufacturer specifications - Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations - Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately - Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in good working condition - Participate in on-call or emergency service rotation as required Qualifications & Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required - Minimum 2-3 years of HVAC service experience preferred - EPA Section 608 Certification required - Valid driver's license with clean driving record - Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and diagnostics - Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Excellent customer service and communication skills Work Schedule: - Full-time, typically Monday - Friday - Overtime and on-call availability may be required Compensation & Benefits: - $23.00 per hour, based on experience - Overtime opportunities - Company vehicle and tools (if applicable) - Health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off (if applicable) - Training and advancement opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer: We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in the workplace.
