Senior Commercial/Industrial Concrete Estimator

Job Description:Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial/Industrial Concrete Estimator to join our team. This position primarily involves preparing estimates for commercial parking structures, large commercial concrete footings and foundations, and other commercial buildings such as apartment complexes, office buildings, and vertical builds. Responsibilities: Review Proposal Specifications and Drawings: Attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required estimate contents. Estimate Preparation: Calculate data such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour, and equipment costs, and apply them to complete the scope of work. Review Historical Data: Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports) and compile reports to develop guidelines for future estimates. Bid Package Development: Participate in developing bid package estimate documents and other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent years of relevant experience. Experience: 8+ years of commercial/industrial estimating experience with projects such as wastewater treatment facilities, large water tanks, and multi-level parking structures. 8+ years of experience in reading and analyzing engineering drawings, technical plans, purchase orders, and contracts. 8+ years of responding to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business stakeholders. Proficiency in Bid2Win estimating software (bottom-up estimating). Mathematical Skills: Good working knowledge of fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and geometric formulas to perform calculations for take-offs and estimate preparation. Estimating Techniques: General understanding of cost control, material pricing, and estimating techniques. Skills and Certifications: Required: Bid2Win bottom-up estimating. Estimating for water tanks and multi-level buildings with post-tension cabling. Security Clearance: Not required. Visa Candidates: Not considered.
