Job Description for Respiratory Therapist at Carbondale, IL Title: Respiratory Therapist Location: Carbondale, IL Job Type: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Guaranteed Hours: 36hr Minimum Experience: 2 years Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities: Perform assessments and diagnostic tests to evaluate patients' respiratory health status. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with respiratory disorders. Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy. Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients requiring mechanical ventilation. Respiratory Therapist Requirements: Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree). Current and valid Respiratory Therapist License from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or equivalent state licensing board. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess and respond to changes in patients' respiratory status. Required Documents: Updated Resume highlighting relevant education, training, and experience. Proof of Respiratory Therapist License or state licensing board.
