Job Title: Chief Engineer Location: Hotel Indigo & Holiday Inn Express – Downtown Austin Job Summary: The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations for our dual-branded hotel complex. This role ensures safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities across both properties while supporting guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and brand compliance. Key Responsibilities:Lead the maintenance team and manage daily operations for both Hotel Indigo and Holiday Inn Express. Ensure all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety) are operating effectively and in compliance with local codes and brand standards. Schedule and perform preventive maintenance and respond to guest and operational work orders promptly. Manage vendors, service contracts, inspections, and CapEx projects. Monitor department expenses and maintain records of repairs, warranties, and maintenance logs. Support property leadership with emergency preparedness and energy conservation initiatives. Train, supervise, and evaluate engineering staff. Qualifications:Minimum 3–5 years of engineering leadership experience in a hotel or similar facility. Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and general trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC). Familiarity with IHG brand standards and Quore is a plus. Ability to lead a team and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Availability for on-call emergencies and flexibility with schedule as needed.
