Snowflake DBA

Job Title: Snowflake DBA Location: Hybrid Boston, MA or Woodbridge, NJ (Onsite 4 days/week) Duration : 12 Months Relocation: No Azure data engineer/Snowflake DBA Hands on experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining Snowflake, and fiveTran is a must. Certification preferred. 10+ years hands on database work DB2/UDB, SQL Server. Hands on experience with AWS RDS, DocuemtnDB, DynamoDB, Redis databases. Experience working with large scale databases An understanding of proper indexing and experience with query tunning Knowledge of DB2 Range Partitioning, MDC and MQT Knowledge of UDB/AIX utilities such as backup, reorg, runstats and rebind is required Knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL Server reorg, update stats Experience with AWS DMS Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Experience using a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology Ability to analyze existing configuration and recommend hardware/software improvements. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Proven leadership and collaborative skills. Demonstrated ability to meet business needs with sound technical approaches. Self motivated, task oriented and capable of working independently on multiple, simultaneous projects.
