This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity. The Web & Google Analytics Analyst is expected to contribute at least 5 hours per week and respond to communications within 36 hours. SUMMARY Save the Water™ is seeking a Web & Google Analytics Analyst to help the organization understand user behavior, measure performance across our digital platforms, and support data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), website performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting. The incumbent will maintain accurate analytics tracking, build dashboards and reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize content, fundraising, and volunteer experiences. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Configure, maintain, and audit Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) to ensure accurate tracking of key website events (e.g., donation flow, volunteer form submissions, content engagement) and maintain a clean analytics structure (events, parameters, custom dimensions). Build and maintain reports and dashboards (monthly/quarterly, Looker Studio preferred) to track traffic, engagement, conversions, and key metrics for priority pages, including Home, Water Facts, Education, Donation, and Volunteer. Analyze user behavior trends and provide recommendations to improve website structure, content layout, and conversion flows for donations and volunteer sign-ups. Collaborate with UX/UI, Education, Marketing, and Publishing teams to measure performance, validate findings, and support analytics for digital campaigns (newsletters, social media, event landing pages). Monitor overall website performance metrics (page speed, device usage, accessibility) and assist with A/B testing or experiments as needed. Attend virtual meetings in the EST timezone (GMT -4:00), respond to communications within required timelines, and perform other duties as assigned to support STW™’s technology and digital strategy. QUALIFICATIONS Experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and interpreting digital metrics. Familiarity with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and event tracking setups. Strong understanding of digital marketing metrics (traffic sources, conversions, engagement). Ability to translate data into actionable insights and build dashboards using Looker Studio or similar tools. Strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and self-motivation to prioritize tasks in a remote, collaborative environment. NICE-TO-HAVE Basic experience with HTML or Webflow for troubleshooting and tag placement. Experience in nonprofit or educational organizations.
