Operate overhead crane to load, unload and position material using lifting magnets, chains and/or straps. Study blueprints, layouts, sketches, and/or travelers to assess product specifications and drawing instructions, tools and materials needed, and sequences of operations. Compute dimensions, tolerances, and angles of steel products or machines, according to specifications and knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.
