Stevedoring Laborer - With TWIC Card Location: Mobile, AL & Pascagoula, MS Genesis is seeking hardworking and reliable Stevedoring Laborers to join our team in Mobile, AL. This position is responsible for loading and unloading vessels, securing cargo, and supporting dockside operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in physically demanding conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and exposure to all weather. Responsibilities: Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently from vessels, barges, and trucks. Secure cargo using proper rigging, blocking, and bracing techniques. Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes (with training/certification). Assist with staging, organizing, and transferring cargo in the warehouse and dock areas. Climb ladders, gangways, and vessel structures to access work areas. Enter confined spaces such as vessel hatches and holds to position or secure cargo. Work in varying conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and outdoor environments. Follow all safety procedures, port rules, and company policies. Qualifications: Must have a valid TWIC card. Ability to perform physically demanding work including climbing, lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces. Comfort working at heights and in vessel hatches. Previous stevedoring, dock work, or heavy labor experience preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Reliable transportation to travel between Mobile and Pascagoula as needed.
