Purpose The Controller responsibilities include preparation of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, cost tracking and analysis. Job Responsibilities • Track and monitor plant expenditures related to maintenance, consumables, services, and capital projects. • Develop and maintain monthly cost dashboards with trends, variances, and drivers. • Identify high-expenditure areas, abnormal spending patterns, and cost escalation risks. • Partner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Procurement to understand cost drivers and improvement opportunities. • Perform forecasting and rolling outlooks for maintenance, consumables, and CapEx. • Lead budget vs actual variance analysis and root-cause discussions. • Track savings from cost-reduction initiatives and verify financial benefits. • Prepare and present weekly financial forecast • Month End Closing • Prepare budgets and multi-month forecasts • Present actual financial results to plant and Granges management team • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. • Train location personnel for back-up when on vacation • Approval of expenditures • Coordinate and reconcile physical inventories. • Audit support • Monitoring construction-in-progress accounts for capitalization • Prepare property and sales tax returns • Work in a safe and healthy manner, adhering to all safety rules and practices. • Represent the company's core values of being committed, action oriented, innovative and accessible. • Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent. • Minimum of 8 years of experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. • Must have knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn accounting software; database software; manufacturing software • Requires above average Microsoft excel skills • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Highly organized, detail-driven, and conscientious • Travel as necessary Gränges Americas is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
