Location: South-Central Iowa Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital Start Date: 03/09/2026 Length of Assignment: 13 - Week Contract Schedule: Straight Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, No Weekends State License Needed: Iowa (IA) Occupational Therapist License Pay: $2350 - $2575 - Weekly Gross (Local and Travel rates available) Job Description Medix is seeking a dedicated and well-rounded Occupational Therapist for a contract assignment at a partner critical access hospital in South Central Iowa. In this role, you will work as a key clinician within a collaborative healthcare team, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population across both inpatient and outpatient settings. We are looking for a patient-centered therapist who thrives in a versatile environment. This facility manages a robust neurology program and handles a high volume of orthopedic recovery. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive OT services across inpatient and outpatient settings, maintaining an average daily volume of roughly 10-12 patients. Work within a specialized neurology program treating patients with stroke recovery, neuropathy, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions. Support inpatient recovery for skilled stays and post-surgical patients, including orthopedic cases such as carpal tunnel/cubital tunnel release, digit removal, and total joint replacements (shoulder, knee, and hip). Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patients of various ages and clinical needs. Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation. Requirements Active Iowa (IA) State Occupational Therapist License. Proven experience in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. Strong clinical judgment and the ability to treat a wide range of orthopedic and neurological conditions. Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mentality. Preferred Skills Additional clinical certifications are a plus but not required. Benefits Paid Sick Leave: Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances.
