Detailed information about our services can be found on our website at The Role AWPT is seeking a business development professional to support the growth of WorkPlace Training offerings. This role will be responsible for managing inbound inquiries, qualifying opportunities, conducting outreach, and guiding organizations to the right training and consulting solutions. You bring excellent presentation abilities and clear written and verbal communication to every interaction. Responsibilities Serve as the primary sales contact and first point of contact for inbound inquiries, qualifying leads, and aligning organizations with appropriate A2LA WorkPlace Training solutions. Conduct proactive outreach to generate new business, identify opportunities across key industries, and drive consultative discovery conversations to understand client needs, objectives, and regulatory drivers. Partner with internal teams and clients to identify appropriate solutions, contribute to proposals and pricing discussions, and support contract alignment to meet organizational and client objectives. Manage and grow a structured sales pipeline within Salesforce, ensuring accurate lead tracking, timely follow-up, activity reporting, and visibility into opportunities and market trends. Build and maintain long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat engagements, renewals, bundled services, and expanded offerings. Maintain strong industry knowledge, including relevant regulatory trends and ISO/IEC conformity assessment standards, and apply insights to outreach strategy and solution positioning. Collaborate closely with marketing and product leadership to align sales strategy, share market intelligence, and support coordinated growth initiatives. Represent A2LA WorkPlace Training at select industry events and conferences as appropriate (limited travel anticipated). Other duties as assigned AWPT may provide exceptions to educational requirements for veterans who demonstrate the ability to perform the duties listed in this job posting. Requirements A successful candidate for these positions typically meets the following criteria: Bachelor's degree in business or science-related field (preferred) or one to three years of experience in sales, customer support, professional services, training, or consulting. Demonstrates success in proactive prospecting and pipeline development. Experience utilizing CRM systems (Salesforce preferred). Experience selling into regulated or compliance-driven industries preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience presenting to decision-makers and organizational leaders. Benefits and Compensation The salary for this position is commensurate with experience. Our range for the role is $70,000-90,000. Working Environment & Physical Requirements The physical demands and work environment described here reflect those of a person, in this position, will typically encounter. Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands for typing and presentation purposes, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Work Environment : Work is typically performed in an office setting. Hours are flexible, but they should normally encompass at least the core hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, total at least forty (40) hours for each work week, and suit the needs of various customers, where appropriate.
