CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia region. We are currently hiring for a full time Managing CT Technologist to work at our Springfield, PA office. The Managing CT Technologist reports to the Director of Operations. The position is responsible for producing computerized tomographic radiographs while providing leadership to staff. In addition to providing basic patient care, maintaining equipment, educating patients, and creating and maintaining documentation, participating in program accreditation, this position serves as a procedure specialist and leads an office team of CT technologists, registered nurses, and clerical office staff. Please note this role is entitled to a $500 sign on bonus. Requirements:Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program (Required) Bachelors of Radiology Science or related science or healthcare education (Preferred) Experience 3 Years of working clinical experience as a technologist in diagnostic radiology (Required) General Experience and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy (Required) General Experience as a CT Scan Technologist (Required) License/Certification: R.T.(CT) credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required) BLS - Basic Life Support (Required) Job Description / Responsibilities: Modality specific Performs with various types of radiologic procedures, following protocols established by the radiologists Prepares, maintains and operates radiographic equipment in a safe and responsible manner Follows appropriate radiation safety guidelines Produces quality radiographs for interpretation by a radiologist Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology Performs CT procedures following the protocols established by the referring physicians or Radiologists Operates CT scanner to produce cross sectional anatomical images of consistent optimal quality Operates CT equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, following established safety guidelines Leadership Provide team leadership to staff in the department./Communicates with front office non-clinical staff when needed to facilitate their scheduling and preauthorization duties and address CT-related clinical questions Act at a resource and first point of escalation resource to address the needs of staff, patients and families Serve as a procedure specialist and subject matter expert on modality and its process and procedures Acts as the day-to-day lead for operations of the department and assures efficient operation of workflow of the department Responsible for maintaining the work schedule, workflow and staff schedules for the department Participates in the hiring process, performance evaluation and handling of issues, and in problem solving for the team Patient Care Obtains patient history Educates patients/families regarding procedures and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and prevention Positions patients appropriately for the applicable radiographic procedure Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines Develops and evaluates radiographic results for technical quality, such as density, contrast, definition and distortion Applies learned methodologies with independent judgment according to established policies and procedures Performs prescribed procedures in accordance with established policies Maintains infection prevention standards Explains standard procedures and answers patients questions Prepares, cleans, adjusts, inspects and maintains equipment Produces quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation Prepares and maintains accurate documentation, archiving imaging data as needed or required Collaborates with physicians and other medical professionals Quality Adheres to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety as well as all hospital and departmental policies and procedures Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements, demonstrating ability to troubleshoot and notifying appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department and monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of service Ensures that the examination results meet the facility standards for Quality Assurance before findings are released for interpretation Provides oversight for the assessment of examinations performed within the facility for technical and image quality, and accuracy Documents any incidental findings that might impact patient safety or patient care and provide that information to the interpreting physician Exercises responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of facility reports, database records and logs. Participates in required training for compliance related activities (HIPAA, Compliance, Patient Safety, TJC, other regulatory bodies Participates and contributes to quality improvement processes and unit meetings/activities Participates in compliance related activities (HIPAA, Compliance, Patient Safety, TJC, other regulatory bodies) Education Keeps updated on the knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and imaging equipment. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and preventio Participates in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidenced based practice and research Participates in the mentoring and education of technologists and students Works with peers and other health care providers Participates in ongoing in-service and educational seminars Assists with the orientation and training of new staff Compliance/Safety Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee areas of responsibility Ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates Completes all company mandatory modules and required job specific training in the specified time frame Responsible for reporting any safety related incident in a timely fashion to medical director and operations director Attends all safety related training programs, performs work in a safe manner, monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner Benefits:Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia provides medical, vision, dental, 401k, profit sharing, LTD, generous PTO, and paid holiday time.
