This role requires the ability to carry a firearm and respond to potential threats with professionalism, sound judgment, and adherence to all regulations. Officers conduct routine patrols, monitor surveillance systems, verify access credentials, and respond to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activities. The position requires strong situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while providing exceptional customer service.Minimum Qualifications Valid ASRB License (or ability to obtain one). 21 years of age or older. County-issued Concealed Carry License, or ability to obtain after background check. Successful completion of armed training and possession of a valid pistol permit.Duties & Responsibilities Security Operations Conduct regular walking patrols to ensure safety and detect/report concerns. Monitor access points and verify identification and credentials. Enforce security procedures in accordance with all Security Post Instructions. Incident Response & Reporting Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents using established protocols. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations. Perform routine tasks such as locking/unlocking doors, operating security systems, and monitoring surveillance feeds. Customer Service & Professionalism Assist employees and visitors, address concerns with courtesy and professionalism. Enforce SEI and client policies, including rules regarding smoking, loitering, and parking. Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance at all times.Required Skills & Abilities Minimum Ability to work in high-paced or potentially stressful environments. Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday), if needed. Strong situational awareness, alertness, and curiosity. Ability to stay calm, problem-solve, and respond effectively in critical situations. Basic computer skills and ability to use a tablet for reporting. Preferred Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.Physical Requirements Ability to stand at least 1 hour without support or break. Ability to sit at least 1 hour without break. Ability to walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping.
