Job Summary: Provide expert evaluation and treatment for musculoskeletal, vascular, and neurological conditions tailored to each patient. Deliver education and preventative care to patients, their families, healthcare associates, and the broader community. Act as a vital liaison among patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and social services to ensure coordinated and compassionate physical therapy services. Essential Responsibilities: Utilize clinical judgment and specialized skills to care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring high-quality treatment including evaluation, planning, implementation, and education. Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, exercise devices, and wound care tools. Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and orthopedic equipment. Support patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, activities of daily living, and functional training. Adapt therapy techniques for patients with cognitive or physical limitations to ensure effective treatment. Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards. Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including peer review and patient care evaluation. Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills with patients, families, and colleagues. Supervise aides, students, and volunteers as needed. Assist with departmental functions and contribute to staff education and professional development. Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent accrediting bodies. Continuing education relevant to clinical practice and professional responsibilities. Active participation in professional associations at local, state, and national levels as appropriate. Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree required. Licensure and Certifications: Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state. Current CPR certification required. Work Environment: Full-time, first shift position serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
