Description Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and insightful observational techniques. Design individualized treatment plans that cater to short-term milestones as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties. Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive and effective care strategies. Provide educational resources and support to patients and families to encourage continued progress beyond clinical sessions. Participate in periodic inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the rehabilitation process. Maintain detailed and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional standards. Remain updated on advancements in the field by actively engaging in ongoing education and peer-driven collaboration. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who have not yet achieved ASHA certification. Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferably, hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of hire. Skills Strong grounding in evidence-based treatment modalities for all age groups, thoroughly understanding developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Ability to tailor therapy methods to accommodate a wide range of cultural and linguistic considerations. Solid clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving abilities.
