Description: This position is in a fast-paced, high-acuity Cath Lab. The team performs between 24-40 cases a day. The patient demographic includes adults, with no pediatric cases. Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cases, RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, Cardiomems, biopsies, atherectomies, staged PCI, IABP, Impella, ECMO (preferred), and peripheral diagnostic and interventional cases. Some fistulograms may be performed. Hybrid experience is preferred but not required. Common hybrid procedures include AAA grafts, thoracic grafts, clips, TAVRs, and Watchman. The patient ratio is 1:1. Housekeeping staff will handle room turnover. The storeroom staff will manage supply stock. Transportation support is available during the day. A receptionist/health unit coordinator will be present during specified hours. There will be a charge nurse or lead tech on shift to coordinate workflow. RT will be available 24/7 and will manage vents if there are any vented patients in the lab. Cardiology will be present in-house 24/7. A critical response team will respond to codes if needed. The facility utilizes EPIC for charting. Additional equipment includes Alaris, Pyxis, and various C-arms. Experience with advanced devices such as Volcano, St. Jude, Alphavac, Angiovac, EKOS, and Anari is not required. The hemodynamic monitoring system is GE Pruka (Maclab). PACS systems in use are Fuji and ProSolv. The IABP system is Maquet. Travelers may work 8 or 12-hour shifts, with both available. Weekend rotations may occur, typically resulting in call shifts. Call time will begin from the end of the shift until the following morning. Call will be scheduled from Friday to the following Friday every 2-3 months, with a possible 30-minute response time. Time-off requests will be considered. Holiday work may occur based on staffing needs. All staff, including travelers, will adhere to a fatigue policy, which restricts working beyond 60 hours per week or five consecutive 12-hour shifts. Scrub colors will be provided.
