Position Summary Stonefield Historic Site is a Wisconsin Historic Site located on the banks of the Mississippi River in Cassville, Wisconsin. Guests explore the State Agricultural Museum showcasing historic farming methods and implements, 1901 Farm House, recreated 1900s Farming Village with over 30 historic structures representing real businesses in the Cassville area, and the home site of Nelson Dewey, Wisconsin's first governor. Staff work in historic indoor and outdoor spaces with fellow team members in the heart of the Driftless Region to create exceptional experiences for our guests. This is general building/grounds mechanical maintenance and repair work of a routine and relatively non-complex nature. This position will perform a variety of tasks of a semiskilled nature, requiring the manual use of tools and some mechanical aptitude. This position will also assist the full-time facilities specialist on site with site maintenance including building, landscaping, and other facilities maintenance and light repair. This position may perform any combination of the following duties: Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs to HVAC systems, including their associated controls (e.g., thermostats). Maintain and perform minor repairs to light plumbing. Maintain and repair kitchen appliances. Clean, maintain, adjust and repair a variety of mechanical, automated and electronic equipment. Perform preventive and required maintenance on mechanical machinery Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on existing buildings to maintain them in an aesthetic, functional condition. Maintain the grounds of the facility in a condition that is both aesthetic and safe for thers at the facility. Perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment used at the facility. Prepare and maintain records of activities as required. Other duties as requested. Salary Information Pay is $16.00 per hour with a weekend differential of 80 cents per hour. This classification is in schedule and class 03-10. Please note this is a Limited Term Employment position so it does not include paid time off or benefits upon hire. Job Details A criminal background check will be conducted by WHS prior to an offer of employment to determine if the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job. This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and limited to 1,039 hours. This position will be part time and average 20 hours per week. Wisconsin residency is required for Limited Term Employment positions. Limited Term Employment (LTE) positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to permanent civil service classified positions and do not lead to permanent status.
