AEMT | Emergency Department Health Unit Coordinator

Job Summary: Provide direct patient care within a busy Emergency Department setting during night shifts, working 12-hour rotations totaling 72 hours per pay period. Serve as a vital communication link between patients, families, nursing staff, and physicians, ensuring smooth coordination and support throughout the unit. Key Responsibilities: Effectively communicate with charge nurses, medical staff, and colleagues to support patient care. Collaborate with various departments to ensure a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to patient needs. Transport specimens promptly to the laboratory and assist with supply ordering and inventory management. Maintain flexibility and organization while functioning efficiently under stressful conditions. Treat patients and their families with dignity, respect, and professionalism, providing clear explanations and reassurance as needed. Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Nursing Assistant Certification with an active license in Washington state. Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant Certified professional is required. Preferred: At least one year of experience working in an Emergency Department hospital environment. Professional Requirements: Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies. Demonstrate punctuality and complete assigned duties within designated timelines.
