Description Conduct comprehensive assessments for a wide range of clients, spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using various evaluation methods. Create personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy focused on improving communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing skills. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and family members to establish integrated care approaches. Educate patients and their families to foster improvement and assist with progress between therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring seamless care during each patient's recovery process. Keep meticulous and timely records, adhering to all regulatory and professional guidelines. Pursue ongoing professional development through workshops and collaborative learning with fellow clinicians. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-informed treatment practices for individuals across the lifecycle, proficient in addressing developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges. Exceptional communication skills, creating rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams alike. Flexible in therapeutic methodologies to cater to varied cultural and linguistic contexts. Possesses keen clinical insight and creative problem-solving capabilities.
