Responsibilities & Duties Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging. Prioritize patient comfort and safety while performing procedures, ensuring clear and compassionate communication at each step of the way. Work closely with radiologists and referring healthcare providers to assure the highest quality diagnostic imaging. Efficiently operate and perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment while accurately reporting any discrepancies. Keep meticulous documentation of procedures and patient records within our electronic health record system. Stay updated with the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging practices and techniques. Education Requirements A minimum of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline. Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program is highly preferred. Certifications Required Current certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or similar credential. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred. Key Skills Robust technical expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
