Job Description BAE Systems under the High-Performance Computing Modernization Program Integrated Technical Services Contract II (HITS-U II) directly supports the DoW’s High-Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) mission. We deliver world-class commercial, high-end, high-performance computational capabilities to the Department of Defense's (DoW’s) Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) community at the DoW Supercomputing Resource Centers (DSRCs). Currently we are seeking Applications or Programming Analysts to support the Army Research Lab (ARL) DSRC located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland. The selected Analyst will provide a high degree of technical support and professionalism to the research communities of the ARL DSRC. This includes, but is not limited to, helping researchers debug and maintain application scripts, installation and compilation of software and general job submission procedures to successfully meet their High-Performance Computing (HPC) research requirements. Respond to complaints, requests, troubleshooting, etc. The selected candidates should also be able to diagnose and resolve general computational technical problems which can vary from a simple to a complex nature with associated software on HPC. Utilize a wide variety of skills and software tools regarding computing on large-scale systems: not limited to but including bash or csh scripting and automation, and software problem diagnosis and resolution. Install, configure, compile, maintain, and support computer software (COTS, GOTS, and open source), which may include software upgrades in accordance with specifications, and perform testing as required. Occasionally develop and maintain documentation, including configuration changes, as needed. This position also assists in the implementation of new technology on Supercomputers, HPC Clusters, in the infrastructure, and on machines used to maintain the clusters. #LI-VW1 #LI-Onsite Required Education, Experience, & Skills Requirements: Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or related field preferred 3-5+ yrs related experience In-depth knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Bash, Csh, Ksh. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred Skills: Knowledge and experience with the Linux Operating Systems, preferably on a large scale (100+ servers) environment (Cray, IBM, HPE,...). Knowledge of HPC scheduling Software such as either SLURM, PBS, LSF, or Condor Knowledge of HPC Parallel libraries (MPI, OpenMP) Fluency in a programming language (e.g. C, Fortran, Python, PERL) Nice to Have Skills: Some knowledge of GPGPUs. Ability to perform benchmarks for both cluster hardware and software performance Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) frameworks A successful candidate should be customer service oriented, attentive to detail, self-motivated and work well in teams. They must be flexible in their approach to finding solutions, possess the ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities, and have the capacity to learn new technologies.Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
