CDL-A Truck Driver

Overview Join our team as a CDL-A Truck Driver, where you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transport of goods to our stores and warehouses. Your responsibilities will include delivering and unloading merchandise, picking up returns, and maintaining detailed DOT logs. We’re looking for a dedicated driver who values safety and does their part to keep our equipment in top-notch condition. Responsibilities Safely deliver and unload merchandise to stores, along with the efficient pick-up of returns and delivery to designated areas. Transport goods from factories to warehouses, ensuring timely and safe movement. Conduct thorough pre and post inspections on assigned equipment, maintaining a vehicle inspection sheet. Accurately maintain daily DOT logs according to regulations, retaining necessary copies. Complete Out-of-State mileage reports as required. Communicate effectively with stores, factories, and traffic departments to relay important information and answer questions. Distribute merchandise lists and correspondence efficiently. Keep assigned equipment in clean and functional condition, refueling daily after shifts. Adhere to W.S. Badcock Traffic Policies at all times. Retrieve and return packing materials as needed. Additional Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of trucks as part of general housekeeping duties. Assist with miscellaneous tasks as directed by management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 1-2 years of warehouse and traffic experience. 2-4 years of delivery or traffic experience. Ability to read maps and follow directions effectively. Basic mechanical skills are a plus. Strong communication skills to interact with others effectively. Requirements Valid CDL (A) driver’s license with 3 points or less. Valid medical certification card. Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and engage in long driving periods. Willingness to work in various weather conditions, dealing with dust, fumes, and possible vibrations from machinery. Additional Information Competitive Pay.
