Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Details: SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER Location: In Office, Westlake Village, CA Compensation: $105,000 to $130,000 base Overview Drive quality across connected hardware, firmware, cloud services, and dashboards Improve test coverage and reduce risk in production releases Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams Scale QA processes and validation workflows Responsibilities Validate firmware, hardware, backend services, and dashboards prior to release Define testable quality expectations with engineering teams Participate in release readiness and risk assessments Reproduce and triage customer-impacting issues Support shipment-related validation as processes mature Contribute to automated testing across device, API, and UI layers Improve QA workflows, documentation, and test coverage Communicate quality risks and release readiness to stakeholders Partner with development partners to ensure delivery timelines Job Requirements Minimum Security Clearance: None Details: Requirements Experience testing IoT platforms, distributed systems, or cloud applications Familiarity with embedded firmware validation and hardware-integrated testing Experience validating APIs and backend services Strong test design, regression strategy, and risk-based testing skills Experience validating production releases and assessing customer impact Strong cross-functional communication skills Ability to identify quality gaps and communicate risk clearly Comfort operating in fast-paced product environments Nice to Have Experience with test automation frameworks Scripting experience for automation CI pipeline familiarity Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or logistics environments
