Steel Fabrication Estimator Location: New Albany, Indiana Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $62,000 - $80,000 per year (based on experience) ???????Shift: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel fabrication and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. This role is responsible for preparing accurate project estimates based on drawings and specifications provided by outside sales and customers. Responsibilities Review project drawings, blueprints, and specifications Prepare accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication projects Perform material takeoffs and labor calculations Work closely with outside sales representatives to develop competitive bids Communicate with vendors and suppliers for pricing Maintain organized documentation of estimates and project details Assist with project handoff to production after award Qualifications Previous experience in steel fabrication estimating (required) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong math and analytical skills Knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and shop operations Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (preferred) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Excellent communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience estimating structural steel or custom fabrication projects Construction or manufacturing background #LOW1
