OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Commercial Lending and Financial Services to support the execution of a multi-year automation and digitalization strategy within Commercial Lending Operations. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners - including technology, operations, and senior leadership - to analyze current state processes, define future state solutions, and ensure delivery of transformative initiatives aligned to business objectives. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong Lean Process Improvement expertise who excels in structured, performance-driven environments and is comfortable working across matrixed teams and senior stakeholders within a regulated financial services organization. Location: Naperville, IL (Hybrid - 2 days in office) Contract Length: 12 Months (Extension Possible) Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM Pay: W2 $78.20 RESPONSIBILITIES Elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and operational requirements through stakeholder engagement and analysis across Commercial Lending Operations. Translate strategic objectives from Lending Operations' multi-year automation and digitalization roadmap into actionable deliverables for project and technology teams. Conduct detailed current state and future state process mapping, with focus on Straight Through Processing, process simplification, and improved data integrity. Perform cost/benefit analysis, volume and product analysis, and attribute analysis to identify drivers of product variances and operational requirements. Develop and maintain Project Charters, Business Cases, High-Level Requirements Documents (HLRDs), status reports, and supporting documentation. Partner with technology teams to propose and support implementation of emerging technologies including AI and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Provide Lean Process Improvement expertise (Lean Green Belt skill set) to optimize operational workflows and eliminate inefficiencies. Support Project Delivery and Senior Leadership in defining subsequent years' initiatives within the multi-year transformation plan. Lead change management activities including stakeholder analysis, communication strategy development, readiness assessments, training plans, and execution support. Collaborate with Managing Director and VP-level stakeholders to provide project updates, insights, and recommendations. Monitor and track performance metrics and KPIs to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget. Identify risks, dependencies, and emerging issues; proactively escalate and recommend mitigation strategies. Act as a trusted advisor across business groups, influencing and negotiating to achieve business objectives. Support cross-business coordination to ensure alignment with North American operational goals. QUALIFICATIONS5-7+ years of progressive business analysis experience, preferably within banking, financial services, or commercial lending operations. Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Proven experience delivering initiatives focused on: Lean Process Improvement and process optimization Cost/Benefit Analysis and Business Case development Volume and Product Analysis Attribute Analysis (drivers of product variances and operational requirements) Current State and Future State Process Mapping Strong understanding of transformation initiatives involving automation, AI, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Demonstrated experience working in matrix environments and influencing senior stakeholders (Director, VP, Managing Director level). Experience developing Project Charters, HLRDs, status reporting, and strategic planning documentation. Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong data-driven decision-making capability with ability to break down complex strategic problems into actionable insights. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and navigate non-routine situations in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Green Belt Certification or equivalent Lean/Six Sigma training. Experience within Commercial Lending or broader Banking/Financial Services environments. Experience working at a large boutique consulting firm. Experience supporting enterprise-scale, multi-year transformation programs. Familiarity with change management frameworks and enterprise performance measurement practices.
