Why This Role Exists Financial insight plays a critical role in keeping global distribution operations efficient, accountable, and ready to support the Warfighter. This role exists to help senior leaders understand cost drivers, improve financial processes, and make informed decisions that strengthen mission readiness. As a Distribution Financial Specialist supporting DLA Distribution, you will work closely with stakeholders across the enterprise to analyze financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate complex data into clear recommendations that support organizational change. This role is for someone who enjoys connecting financial analysis with operational outcomes and wants their work to directly support real world logistics and mission readiness efforts. What You Will Do Analyze cost structures and recommend financial and process improvements across DLA Distribution headquarters Develop analytical models that support decision making, resource planning, and operational optimization Apply Agile methodology to track deliverables, manage timelines, and respond to evolving priorities Conduct enterprise level cost analysis and prepare data driven recommendations to improve efficiency and accountability Support financial reporting, forecasting, and budget formulation aligned to DLA strategic goals Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate financial insights into actionable guidance What We Are Looking For Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or a related field Minimum five years of experience supporting DoD finance, budgeting, cost analysis, or analytical roles Strong understanding of DoD financial management processes including budgeting, accounting, and cost analysis Experience performing business case analysis, forensic budget reviews, or evaluating operational costs across multiple funding streams Ability to communicate financial findings clearly to both technical and non technical audiences Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams Preferred: Certified Defense Financial Manager or DoD Financial Management Certification Experience supporting DLA Distribution or large scale logistics organizations Experience assessing capital investments, commercial leases, or real property planning initiatives Familiarity with Agile project environments Clearance and Eligibility Active US Government Secret clearance required Restricted to U.S. persons as defined under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) Location Remote Who We Are At D&G Solutions, people come first; our teammates, customers, and the communities we serve.
