Job Description The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a leader in delivering mission-critical applications to enterprises worldwide. Your Contribution: Over 5 years of experience in networking technologies. Strong proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language. In-depth knowledge of network technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS. Hands-on experience in developing network automation or device management solutions. Exceptional communication and organizational skills, thriving in a collaborative and agile environment. A proactive approach, focusing on results, overcoming challenges, and continuously seeking improvements. Experience in a network support role. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in additional network technologies and protocols like IS-IS, RSVP-TE, EVPN, VxLAN, DHCP, DNS, IPv4, and IPv6. Experience with network modeling and programming tools, including YAML, YANG, OpenConfig, and NETCONF. Knowledge of network monitoring and telemetry solutions. Familiarity with ticketing systems like Jira and version control systems like Git. Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Your Role: As a crucial member of our team, you will support the design, deployment, and operations of the expansive Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Your role will focus on developing and enhancing our network systems, leveraging your deep understanding of networking protocols alongside your programming skills. OCI operates as a cloud-based network with a global reach, managing a vast number of network devices that support millions of servers interconnected through dedicated backbone infrastructure, CLOS Network, and the Internet. Contribute to the design process of network solutions and architectures. Participate in operational support rotations, both primary and secondary. Provide support during incidents and lead the analysis of post-event root causes. Engage in major incident calls, applying your technical skills to resolve network issues affecting Oracle customers and services. Manage fault management and escalation, identifying and addressing issues within OCI's networks, including collaboration with 3rd party suppliers. Work alongside project managers to establish milestones and deliverables. Utilize existing tools and procedures for executing network changes, while also developing new processes as needed. Create solutions that enable front-line support teams to efficiently respond to network issues. Mentor junior engineers, contributing to their professional development. Collaborate with networking automation services to develop and integrate support tools. Work with network monitoring teams to gather telemetry data and create alert rules. Build dashboards that visualize data across diverse network layers and device roles to identify issues and anomalies. Automate routine tasks through scripting to enhance team efficiency. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on software projects focused on network automation and monitoring. Collaborate with vendor technical teams and internal Quality Assurance to troubleshoot issues and facilitate the qualification of new firmware and operating systems. Compensation and Benefits: Oracle provides a competitive salary range for this role, between $79,100 and $158,200 annually, with opportunities for bonuses and equity.
