Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and your keen observational skills. Design individualized treatment plans that cater not only to immediate communication needs but also to long-term growth in language, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions focused on skills like articulation, voice, fluency, and swallowing solutions. Collaborate seamlessly with occupational and physical therapists, nursing staff, doctors, families, and caregivers to create a holistic approach to patient care. Equip patients and their families with the knowledge and tools necessary for progress beyond the clinical environment. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care. Maintain precise and timely records that adhere to organizational, state, and federal regulations. Commit to ongoing education and connect with peers to stay ahead of industry advancements. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to achieve ASHA certification. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days following hire. Skills Strong foundation in evidence-based therapy methods for a range of ages, paired with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing difficulties. Excellent communication abilities, fostering relationships with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary care teams.
