Job Category Claim Compensation Overview The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,400.00 to $198,700.00. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as responsibilities, complexity, location, and candidate experience. Employees have opportunities to earn performance-based cash incentives. What Is the Opportunity? As a key leadership figure within our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring quality and performance in the Auto Claims unit. This includes managing serious and complex claims across both commercial and personal lines. You will provide expert guidance, enhance litigation management processes, and embody our Auto Claims vision. Furthermore, you will lead and mentor a talented team for professional growth and development. What Will You Do? Claim Handling: Act as an expert Auto Severity UM with significant authority for claims valued up to $2 million. Develop and implement efficient claim handling methods to uphold brand integrity and deliver high-quality service. Provide guidance both in writing and in person for effective claim handling. Assign new claims to appropriately skilled team members for optimal management. Conduct regular file reviews based on industry best practices. Establish and monitor processes to ensure ongoing quality improvements. Leadership: Attract, retain, and develop top talent while collaborating on strategic staffing plans. Manage team performance by assessing development needs and offering constructive feedback. Work with management to create impactful training programs and succession planning. Proactively enhance staff retention and manage turnover effectively. Utilize a reward system to recognize and celebrate outstanding performance. Oversee timely referrals to the Home Office for cases exceeding $2 million and develop innovative resolution strategies for complex claims. Manage claim reserves to ensure efficiency. Product Development: Design and implement strategies to improve file quality, manage expenses, and streamline investigations and litigation management. Communication and Influence: Participate in discussions to review severity cases. Analyze data and leverage technology to identify trends that align with business strategies. Focus on process improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. Build strong relationships with colleagues and partners to achieve organizational objectives. Participate in business meetings and agency visits as needed. Other Accountabilities: Operate within the established expense budget to achieve optimal results through effective resource management. Encourage mutual success in partnerships. Obtain necessary Insurance License(s) within three months of employment, along with ongoing educational commitments. Perform additional duties as required. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Bachelor's Degree. Proven experience in claim management. Strong analytical skills in coverage, liability, and damages, with a deep understanding of litigation processes and laws. Extensive experience managing severe and complex claims. Leadership Skills: Ability to drive results, implement change, and effectively execute strategies. People Management Skills: Expertise in attracting talent, maximizing performance, and fostering a dynamic workplace culture. What is a Must Have? A High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation and severity claim handling, along with at least 10 years of total claim experience. What Is in It for You?
