What to Expect The Lithium & Recycling (LiR) group,under CellEngineeringis responsible forthe reliable and efficient flow of all battery materials from Tesla's factoriesand Service locations to approved battery reclamation & recycling facilities.As aprocess engineeringsupervisor, you will lead an operations team and drive metrics inbatteryrecyclingpretreatment and mechanicalprocessing. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with our engineering, maintenance, EHS and R&D teams to ensure production goals are safelybeing met. You will be expected to drive improvement of operations processes, give feedback to engineering teams on process improvements, and build a strong operations culture. What You'll Do Develop andmaintaina positive, professional, and proactive operating group focused on monitoring, technical execution, and customer service Plan, supervise, and coordinateBatteryRecycling Operations Group activities Ensure group adherence to safety protocols and advocate for improvements Lead skilled technical staff in executing complex operations ofBatteryRecycling equipment and processes Enforce policies, develop procedures, and plan resourceutilizationfor daily activities Provide training, mentoring, and career development to shift personnel Address complex issues, advise team members, and manage on-shift escalations What You'll Bring 4+ years of related trade experience in a supervision/management role in high-risk production environments Work in heavy equipment rooms, chemical storage, and distribution locations, and industrial waste plantsand the potential to work with materials whichcontainhazardous chemicals Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Essential Physical Demands: Ability to work outside in the elements ranging from 0-110F in the wind, rain, and snow Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for 10+ hours per day, climb andmaintainbalance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures, andlift upto 50 lbs.
