About This Office Dental Hygienist (Full-Time) Lake Ridge Dental Care, Woodbridge, VASchedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Lake Ridge Dental Care is looking for an experienced, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. This is a full-time role for someone who is driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a goal-driven environment where patient care and performance metrics both matter. Responsibilities As a Dental Hygienist at Lake Ridge Dental Care, you'll play a key role in patient care and practice growth by delivering thorough clinical care and helping patients understand their oral health needs. Responsibilities include: Provide exceptional preventive and therapeutic hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and individualized patient education. Perform periodontal assessments and complete accurate documentation, including charting and treatment notes. Take and process dental radiographs and support diagnostic needs using practice technology and imaging systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, risk factors, and recommended treatment plans to support long-term health. Maintain strict compliance with infection control, OSHA standards, and clinical best practices. Manage time efficiently to support schedule flow while maintaining a high standard of care. Collaborate with the dentist and clinical team to support patient treatment planning, practice goals, and key performance metrics. Qualifications Current dental hygiene license in Virginia (or ability to obtain). 2 to 3 years of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred. Experience with or willingness to learn and use practice technology, including Dentrix, iTero, Smart Imaging, and Microsoft Office. Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits and a commitment to clinical excellence. Patient-focused with a positive, confident communication style and strong education skills. Goal-driven and motivated, with comfort working in an environment that tracks performance metrics. Strong time management skills and the ability to stay on pace while delivering high-quality care.
