Make rounds with physicians, accurately transcribing and implementing orders. Assist with physical exams and other procedures as needed. Preparation, administration, and documentation of all medications, treatments, and IV therapy as ordered. Documentation of various reports, nurses’ notes/medical records as required and necessary. Initiate First Aid/CPR in emergencies. Performs all other related duties as required in order to maintain the smooth operation of the Nursing Services Department and Villa Feliciana Medical Complex. Position-Specific Details:Location:This vacancy is located in theNursing Department ofLDH/OAAS/Villa Feliciana Medical Complex, Jackson, Louisiana.Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Detail to Special DutyCareer Progression: This position may be filled as a Practical Nurse Licensed 1, 2, or 3Work Schedule: 12 hours with rotating weekends. The shift is 5:45 pm - 6:15 am.Compensation: The Practical Nurse Licensed 1 offers a Special Entrance Rate of $19.48 hourly, along with premium pay of up to $15.00 per hour worked. This is the minimum compensation that may be offered.
