Outreach Coordinator - Part TimeDepartment: Project Management Employment Type: Fixed Term - Part Time Location: Atlanta Reporting To: VP Programs & Implementation Compensation: $20,000 / year Description Partners for HOME seeks qualified applicants to help oversee the coordination and training of outreach workers within the CoC. In this role, the Coordinator will support the efforts between diversion outreach, crisis response, encampment closures, and Downtown Rising outreach. The Coordinator will initially be responsible for two main projects with additional oversight to be added and or shifted depending on the project needs. Initial areas of focus are Training outreach teams on best practices for engaging those experiencing homelessness Working with the community and homeless diversion providers to increase the use and success of diversion, Rapid Rehousing and Transitional Housing. Key Responsibilities Inform trainings produced by Continuum of Care On the ground training of outreach staff Work with crisis response and outreach teams to build By Name Lists (BNL) to ensure that those in encampments and unsheltered are accurately reflected in Coordinated Entry. Identify and advocate for solutions needed on an individual level for those experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Champion the use of diversion as an effective housing placement solution within the community. Serve as subject-matter expert for partners in homeless work such as city of Atlanta, Mayor's office, etc. Participate in PFH hiring interviews. Operational Duties: Lead outreach and navigation teams to ensure coordination and collaboration. Work closely with other PfH staff. Duties may include: Responding to community emails Responding to community calls (in-field) BNL management Participate in case conferencing as needed Partner with agencies receiving related funding resources to further alignment with the CoC Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 1 year or more lived experience of unsheltered homelessness in City of Atlanta and/or surrounding areas Current member of a CoC workgroup/committee High energy and a passion for the CoC's mission and goals Previous experience working with the homeless population or housing preferable Benefits This is a part-time, 12-month position and does not come with benefits.
