Occupational Therapist

Position Title: Occupational Therapist Job Location: Rushville, IL Job Type: Permanent Full Time Shifts: Days: 36-40 hrs. /week Must-Have: Registered with American Occupational Therapy Association, Graduate from approved school of Occupational Therapy, IL State Licensure, Current BLS Certification Responsibilities: Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (OTA, Patient Care Assist., etc.), and participates in scheduling patients, as well as all other aspects of patient care within the Department. The OT participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in QA activities. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
