Compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to become an integral part of our dynamic healthcare team! JOB SUMMARY: Join our compassionate team to assist physicians in providing exceptional care to our patients. Your role will include interviewing patients, taking medical histories, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and wellbeing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations of this position and may include other tasks as assigned: Warmly greeting patients and preparing them for examinations or procedures. Recording patient health histories and noting any abnormal conditions for physicians. Instructing patients on collection of any necessary samples and tests. Obtaining vital signs and escorting patients to examination rooms. Assisting with preparation of supplies and equipment for effective treatments and examinations. Administering injections and prescribed medications as directed by the physician. Observing, recording, and reporting patient conditions and responses to treatments. Maintaining accurate patient charts and records. Scheduling tests and treatments and making referrals as directed by the provider. Collecting and delivering lab specimens and obtaining test results. Communicating test results and follow-up appointments to patients. Cleaning and restocking examination rooms between procedures. Adhering to infection control protocols and handling hazardous materials responsibly. Educating patients and families about medications and treatment plans. Assisting providers during physical exams and preparing for these assessments. Managing pharmacy requests for prescriptions and notifying patients of their availability. Keeping inventory of medications and monitoring controlled substances. Monitoring the use of medical supplies and keeping them adequately stocked. Managing incoming phone calls and triaging patients for efficient care. WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE? Full-time members work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts during weekdays and every other weekend. Our PRN team members are scheduled as needed. WHAT'S REQUIRED? A degree from an accredited nursing program. AR State or Compact LPN or RN License. BLS Certification.
