We are seeking a dedicated RN - Acute Care House Supervisor to oversee nursing and emergency services during assigned shifts, ensuring continuity in decision-making and excellence in patient care. This leadership role involves acting with authority in the absence of senior nursing management and providing support to nursing staff across departments. Essential Job Functions Manage overall nursing care for patients during shifts, ensuring safety and quality. Collaborate with nursing leadership to optimize patient outcomes. Interpret and enforce standards of care and policies as needed. Plan and maintain safe staffing patterns aligned with patient acuity and care continuity. Serve as a patient advocate and clinical resource, assisting nursing departments as necessary. Coach and mentor staff to uphold organizational mission and values, modeling positive behavior. Communicate concerns promptly to appropriate directors with proper documentation. Lead during code and disaster situations when administration is unavailable. Assist with staff orientation, evaluations, and chart reviews as requested. Provide resources from ancillary departments during off-hours. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies. Foster cooperative relationships with employees, visitors, medical staff, and patients, respecting age-specific care standards. Perform physical job demands with or without reasonable accommodations. Maintain reliable attendance and participate in meetings as required. Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid in the regional area. Minimum of two years relevant nursing experience; charge nurse experience preferred. Requirements and Certifications Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within six months of hire. Certification in TNCC and completion of CCU training within one year of hire. Current BLS certification per American Heart Association standards. Completion of Mandatory Reporter training at hire or within six months. Adherence to all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory training requirements. Compliance with organizational Code of Conduct and participation in compliance education and monitoring.
