Join Us in Our Mission As the leading job site globally, our mission is to empower people in their job search. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and accessible workplace that embraces individuality. We are excited to expand our teams with individuals who are passionate about innovation and committed to enhancing the experience for job seekers. The Employer Jobs Platform (EJP) Lifecycle Core team is at the heart of the technology that enables employers to effectively create, manage, and publish job listings on Indeed. This team manages the foundational jobs datastore, develops the APIs that connect to it, generates domain events, and oversees downstream components that facilitate the understanding and publication of employer hiring needs across Indeed's ecosystem. As a Product Manager on the Lifecycle Core team, you will lead the product vision, discovery, and implementation of core job lifecycle infrastructure within your designated scope. This role provides you with autonomy as you build trust with your team and leadership, collaborating closely with engineering, data science, and other product teams to drive impactful results for both employers and job seekers. You should possess strong technical curiosity, enabling you to understand complex systems while staying focused on customer value and business outcomes. Your Key Responsibilities Oversee product discovery within your assigned areas, actively collecting user feedback and data insights to validate hypotheses, decrease uncertainty, and pinpoint effective solutions to employer and platform challenges. Manage the execution of features and platform enhancements, carefully balancing scope, timelines, and trade-offs while translating customer feedback and business needs into well-defined product requirements. Create and uphold product roadmaps aligned with engineering timelines and resource allocation, partnering with engineering to manage sprint planning and ensure successful execution. Work with engineering to contribute to decisions regarding the employer jobs datastore, APIs, and domain event systems, and support initiatives focused on consolidating multiple APIs and event streams. Analyze customer feedback and platform data to uncover patterns, underlying needs, and optimization opportunities, tracking feature adoption metrics to ensure that delivered features meet intended outcomes. Take ownership of the product lifecycle from ideation to post-production impact, proactively monitoring post-launch to address bugs, usability issues, or performance concerns. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including engineering, design, data science, and downstream teams, to align on goals and ensure mutual understanding of trade-offs and priorities. Communicate progress clearly across teams, providing written and verbal updates on roadmap advancements to leadership and collaborators. Desired Skills and Experience 3+ years of product management experience; experience with platform, infrastructure, or technical products is a significant advantage. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven experience collaborating closely with engineers to define, plan, and execute products and features from ideation through to delivery. Strong analytical skills that allow you to leverage data to validate hypotheses, measure outcomes, and make informed prioritization decisions. Experience in creating product roadmaps, writing user stories, and managing product backlogs. Understanding of APIs, data systems, and distributed architecture concepts—coding or system design experience is not required, but possessing adequate technical depth and curiosity to engage in architectural discussions is vital. Self-motivated with the capability to work autonomously while being adept at knowing when to escalate issues or seek alignment.
