Data Science plays a crucial role in Coinbase's product and decision-making processes. Our work involves collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to influence the product roadmap and gain a deeper understanding of our users. Our expertise in experimentation, analytics, and advanced modeling generates insights that positively impact the company's growth. Responsibilities include: Conducting thorough analyses and investigations on complex business problems. Your insights and recommendations will drive the team's decisions. Owning a wide range of data and metrics, from core logging to creating informative data visualizations. Leading code reviews, providing expert guidance in SQL and Python, and developing well-maintained ETL processes. Upholding a high standard of statistical rigor within the team by ensuring that we conduct robust experiments and causal analyses that build stakeholder confidence. What we seek from you: A BA/BS in a quantitative field (such as Math, Stats, Physics, or Computer Science) with over 5 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a quantitative field with over 3 years of relevant experience. Proven experience driving impactful data science projects that address complex and ambiguous challenges. Ability to influence external stakeholders by distilling data insights into compelling narratives. Practical expertise in applying advanced modeling techniques to real-world business issues. Professional experience using SQL and Python effectively. Experience in iterative development cycles with digital products. Pay Transparency Notice: Based on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position ranges as detailed below. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)). Base salary range: $180,370 - $212,200 USD.
