Job Title: Purchaser / Bookkeeper Location: Conway, Arkansas Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Compensation: $48,000 - $50,000 per year (based on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchaser / Bookkeeper to join our team in Conway, Arkansas. This position plays a critical dual role in supporting daily operations by managing purchasing activities and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage vendor relationships while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This role requires someone who thrives in a structured environment, can manage multiple priorities efficiently, and maintains a high level of integrity and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Purchasing Responsibilities Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, supplies, and services required for daily operations Evaluate vendors based on pricing, quality, service, and reliability Maintain and develop strong vendor relationships Request and compare quotes to ensure competitive pricing Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reorders to prevent shortages Track shipments and resolve discrepancies or delays with vendors Maintain purchasing records and documentation for audit purposes Review vendor invoices for accuracy and approval prior to payment Bookkeeping & Accounting Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping Prepare and process payroll (if applicable) Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Prepare financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Assist with budgeting and cost tracking Support external accountants or auditors as needed Maintain organized and confidential financial files Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping and/or purchasing experience Experience in small to mid-sized business environments preferred Technical Skills Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar systems) Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective negotiation and vendor management skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Work Environment Office-based position located in Conway, AR Standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Collaborative team environment Stable, full-time schedule with consistent hours Compensation & Benefits Annual salary range of $48,000 - $50,000, depending on experience Paid time off and holidays (if applicable) Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive and professional work environment Ideal Candidate Profile The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong balance between operational purchasing efficiency and meticulous financial recordkeeping.
