American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting. Job Details • Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, • RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric patients, including ICU settings, • Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 18:00-06:00, • Every other weekend required, • Holiday coverage is required; only 1 holiday off may be approved per contract, • Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on staffing needs, • No on-call requirement, • Block scheduling is not available, • Charting is done in Epic, • Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white, Job Requirements • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required, • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, • Comfort and experience working with both adult and pediatric patients, including ICU populations, • Active state or compact RRT license required at time of consideration; pending licensure not accepted - license required if applicable, • BLS certification required (standard for RRT positions), • Epic EMR experience required, • SSN and date of birth required for consideration, • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position, Additional Information • Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and pediatric patients in ICU and other acute care settings, • Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4-10 hours), • RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract period, subject to manager's discretion, • Any missed scheduled shifts may require a makeup shift at the department's discretion, • Former employees or travelers must have been away from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler, • Travelers on night shift may extend up to twice before being required to be away for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
