Salary: $54,118.00 - $74,949.60 Annually Location : Mobile, AL Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: BISH-OP9974 College/Division: BISHOP-601070-Institutional Research Opening Date: 03/02/2026 Closing Date: 3/16/2026 11:59 PM Central Campus Location: Bishop State Position Summary The Data Analytics and Academic Assessment Specialist will perform duties that are related to Data Analytics, Planning and Evaluation, Institutional Effectiveness, Accreditation, Program Review, Quality Enhancement Plan Assessment, and Outcomes Assessment. Reporting Authority: Director of Institutional Research Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential job functions listed are not comprehensive and duties and responsibilities may change without notice. Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience in various methods of student data collection. The ability to work with numerical data (statistical analysis). Ability to collect documentation related to the development, implementation and assessment of the Quality Enhancement Plan of the College. Extract and prepare data to create interactive reports and dashboards. Automate data processes and provide insights to stakeholders. Streamline data workflows and enhance reporting capabilities. Support the design and implementation of institutional assessments. Analyze assessment data to identify improvement trends. Collaborate with departmental leadership on data analysis. Help administer survey instruments and prepare reports as needed for institutional surveys. Assist other educational programs and educational support programs in collecting, analyzing, evaluating, and storing information regarding program effectiveness for all campuses of the College. Works with various Units of the College to review, evaluate, write, and complete annual outcomes assessment, including learning, program, and administrative outcomes. Design and conduct training sessions to enhance understanding of learning outcomes assessment. Conduct annual academic program reviews to assess effectiveness. Prepare and submit required reports to the Alabama Community College System, Alabama Commission on Higher Education, the U.S. Department of Education, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and other agencies as required. Participate in professional development related to all related tasks. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Institutional Research, Vice President of Instructional Services, and/or the President QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Three (3) years of experience at the postsecondary level in a position that includes assessment, evaluation and data collection Three (3) years of experience at the postsecondary level working with accrediting bodies. • Experience in various methods of student data collection. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited institution. Familiarity with student information systems (e.g. Banner, Target X). Salary: ACCS Salary Schedule: C3-02 Continued Employment is contingent upon funding from the grant and is on a non-tenured track. Sick Leave All regular full-time non-instructional staff earns one day of sick leave which is the equivalent of 8 hours of sick leave per month. Unused sick leave is rolled over to the following year. Upon retirement, employees are allowed to convert unused sick time into service time for the purpose of retirement.
