Description - What You Will Do Carry out routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and others-following established protocols. Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and conduct preventative upkeep and calibration of lab equipment. Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples for testing as necessary. Maintain detailed documentation of all procedures, guide new staff or students, and support the maintenance of quality standards in the lab. Ensure a safe, clean working environment and comply with regulatory and accreditation standards. Education Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, along with plans to obtain ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications Obtaining ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment. Maintain active certification throughout your employment tenure. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams. Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve in fast-paced settings.
